New York Family
Currently, I am the art director at New York Family. In this role, I am responsible for the creative direction and design of the bi-monthly magazine, including covers, features and monthly columns.
I also design marketing collateral and event signage for the Baby Show Series, the largest baby shows in the country. I produce three additional magazines that correspond to the Baby Show markets (New York Family Baby, Chicago Baby, LA Baby).
Community of Christ
Melding my design experience with my passion for efficient communication, I created a new mobile-friendly website and branded print materials for the Mid-Atlantic Mission Center, working within existing design guidelines set by the Community of Christ. The primary goals of this project were to streamline communication and provide online event registration.
I began as an intern at Bethesda Magazine, where I quickly impressed the staff with my design chops and organized style. When a position opened in the design department, I was the art director's first call. I seamlessly fit into the regional magazine's relentless production schedule and went from designer to associate art director in just one year.
American Literary Magazine
I served as the design editor of American Literary Magazine for three years, earning the student-run publication a Pacemaker Award from the Associated Collegiate Press (2012), an Apple Award from the College Media Association (2012), and first place for Promotions & Advertising in the Michigan State Society for News Design's annual contest (2014).
